Young Living Essential Oils for Cold

Yesterday I got cold when I already arrived at my office. You know how it is. Dizzy head, runny nose. It amazed me that I managed to get to the office at all. I guess it was because I used a mask during my trip on the bus and motorbike, and I dropped lemon oil on it so I could inhale it during my trip. I always use 1 drop of lemon oil every morning to help with my allergy in the morning.

Mistake number 1: Stupid me; I fell asleep and forgot to turn off the air conditioner at the previous night and yesterday I forgot to wear a jacket! Yesterday was quite windy and a bit cold, too and I guess I wasn't pretty fit myself.

Well, at 9 AM, I already used one pack of tissues (10 sheets) and at the end of the day there was about 7 packs of tissues in the trash bin. I barely survived the day. However, I tried hard not to take half day off, since I already took 3 paid leaves last month (when my baby was sick). I inhaled lemon oil all day long (when I was not busy rubbing my nose with tissues) to help with the itchy feeling inside the nose. It helped a little. At noon, I drink 1 drop of lemon oil with half glass of water. Lemon oil was all I got in my bag. And I drank about 3 liter of water during the day.

My another mistake: I drank 2 glasses of cow milk in the morning. It always worsen my cold and phlegm. Cow milk makes you produce more mucus (including naval mucus and phlegm). I always avoid drinking cow milk when I don't feel well.

I arrived at home at 6 PM, hurried to take a warm bath, ate and drank plentifully, then gargled a drop of Thieves oil with water and swallowed it. Thankfully my baby daughter was in good health and I kept breastfed her so she could get the antivirus from my body. And of course, this time I remembered to raise the aircon's temperature.

In the morning, I already felt fresh! I still gargled and swallowed a drop of Thieves oil to help with the recuperation, and drop lemon oil on my mask as usual. So far, those 2 oils are the best and fastest natural remedy for my cold and sore throat.
I use Lemon oil when I'm healthy to increase my stamina and when the symptoms show up.
When I already feel sick or the symptoms are quite heavy, I swallow a drop of Thieves oil as it's the most efficient way to cure the sickness.

PS: People say that other oils that help a lot during flu are: peppermint, RC, tea tree (malaleuca anternifocalia), frankincense, and oregano. I also have peppermint oil but I avoid it during breastfeeding since I'm sensitive to the effect (reducing breastmilk production).
